i have this playlist for when i have a migraine... all the songs are kind of calm-ish. every time i lay down here i turn it on. I've tried to listen to other things but it just doesn't work and I flip back. The song Re: Stacks by Bon Iver is on it, I swear that has to be on of the most calming songs in the world. I don't like Bon Iver at all, I don't know how I came about to that song but I'm glad I did... it helps a lot.
We went to the store today... it's a "small" one and it's like a mini mall. there are department type store along the outside (but on the inside of the store) and people with kiosks and food places then once you get past the checkouts its an actual grocery store. it was so weird to see. You know the buggy's you get that slide all over the place and you cant control...like they are slippery? THEY ARE ALL LIKE THAT HERE. i can't manage it, i needed help. it cost one euro to get the cart out of the chain...that's like, a dollar something... isn't it still a quarter at Aldi?
I can't focus on a conversation for too long or i get dizzy. I think Italian is... harsh(idk?) sounding. or at least my ears it is. I really can't think of how to describe it other than harsh. I don't think Ive told many people, like 3, that i have tried to learn Hindi (if tons Bollywood movies and an online course count) but ive picked up quite a bit of it. I like the way sounds, how it just seems to flow, and sounds so nice and somewhat natural to my ears. Italian to me sounds just the opposite. It's so weird. I'm to the point to where i can actually pick up certain phrases (instead of just one word here and there) and think a little in Hindi, and I'm doing it here. I hear things in Italian but think of the meaning in Hindi? There are a few words that sound somewhat similar and I can't get it my head to just stop. On the news today they played a clip of a Bollywood actor and i swear thats the most familiar thing I've seen since I've gotten here.
We are going to Lake Garda tomorrow till Tuesday... maybe I'll start taking pictures, haha. I've taken one so far. Of the cat... Othello, he's the exact color and pattern of my cat but the attitude of my brothers. The other cat isn't around much. At dinner Anna asked if I was home sick yet, i made the mistake of saying just for my dog and now want to cry.

very scattered first thoughts
-i didnt even get out of detroit before i forgot a hairbrush and a book.
-and walked out of the bathroom forgetting to buckle my belt, looking redic.
-8 hours flights are not fun.
-specially when you can't talk to the person next to you
-or you get half an ounce of water every four hours.
-they played parks and rec though! score~
-my ears do not like the descent
-i am still dizzy view of the mountains when we walked out of the airport literally took my breath away. it was too dark to see them when we flew in.
-after lunch i took a nap and woke up really sick
-it wasn't fun
-i love this house
-i have just about a whole little floor to myself. i'll try to take a few pics soon. i haven't taken any yet.
-Paola (Simone's Mother) Is the best cook. She doesn't speak any english and watching us try to talk is probably hilarious.... we're going to the supermarket together in the morning, so that should be interesting.
-my stomach is not made for italy, two meals in and idk how long i'll make it.
-Anna and Simone are so nice, it's ridiculous. Isabella is adorbale, we have just about the same vocab abilitys in italian, haha.
-the only channel i can figure out on my tv is the news... if i hit any other button it messes up. there are moveis downstairs with subtitles... i guess usually it's just dubbed and not subtitled? the one on the plane was weird. i -def prefer subtitles.
-idk what else.
-im tired.
-so im going to bed.
